WOW! This is... really bad. I can't fucking believe it. I don't even know how to review this! It's that horrible. You have to hear it for yourself to believe it.

She Made Me Cry So I Want To Kill Her are a deathcore band and they fucking suck more dicks than a hooker. They combine the weak shitty screamo screams with slam bree's and emo vocals. This is a demo with one song called "We Are Like Every Other Deathcore Band." It's starts off as Gothenburg worship metalcore then goes into deathcore overdrive. The riffs are pathetic and the vocals are embarassing to listen to. The drumming is horrible. The bass? They don't even have a bass player! Then it goes into a breakdown where the vocalist changed from his weak screaming to inhaled cricket vocals and then comes the emo chorus. The vocals are brutally gay. Everything about is shit. It goes back to the Deathcore sound and back to the Slam breakdown. The guitarist attempts to impress every body with his short "shredding" but he sounds like shit. Pure wank. As the emo chorus starts again, the "BREE" doesen't stopped and metalcore vocals can be heard at the same time with some of the emo vocals. It's like a giant hurricane of gayness. It doesen't get any worse than this...

Bullet for My Valentine are shitty metalcore garbage. They compared this album to Judas Priest's Painkiller. That is utter blasphemy! This piece of shit album is just another shitty screamo album. The singing is fucking disgraceful. Only reccomended for wimps and posers.

What the fuck? Exodus re-recorded Bonded by Blood, their best album. Bonded by Blood didn't need to be re-recorded. What was wrong with the original one? Nothing! On Let There Be Blood, they modernized everything and made into an overproduced pile of shit. The great Paul Baloff (R.I.P.) would roll in his grave if he heard this. NU vocalist Rob Dukes does a horrible job on the vocals. The magic of the first album is not present on Let There Be Blood. Their bass player died by drinking himself to death. Too bad the rest of the members didn't follow his footsteps. R.I.P. (Rot in pieces) Patrick Mason, you stupid faggot. It always brings me pleasure to know that a scene tard dies. Sadly, the rest of the members of this shitty band are alive and sucking as much cock as possible.

The music? Well, it's just the same shitty metalcore that we've all heard a million times before. Just a bit more "experimental." No need to go into an in depth review. If you have any common sense, you would avoid this band for the band name alone. I'm so glad this metalcore/deathcore trend is dying. That's right! The trend is finally coming to an end! Much like Retro-thrash, another trend on it's way to the morgue. Soon bands like Trivium and The Devil Wears Prada will be long forgotten. With new bands like Godless Rising and Bone Gnawer coming out, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. I predict by 2010, Metalcore/Deathcore will be gone!

I Wrestled A Bear Once is a real band and sadly, they're serious. Anyone who has a band name like that is a retard. It's a mix of techno, deathcore, disco, and other crap! YES! I'm not kidding. It's stupid, pretentious, and just awful! It's hard to listen to. How can people take them seriously? Why is this bullshit so lame?! It's hard to ignore it too. The Mentors - Up The Dose

The Mentors are one of the best bands period. They really don't get the praise they deserve. They should be spoken in the same breath as Motorhead. The power of The Mentors is something to never under-estimate.

The music is Traditional Heavy Metal. It is very catchy and has many riffs that will stick with you until the day you die. Most of the tracks have the basic Rock N Roll song structures. There are no weak moments to be found on this album. Sickie Wifebeater has my vote as THE most underrated guitarist in Metal. His guitar playing is really something special. The riffs on this album are very catchy. When he plays a guitar solo, it's something you must hear. He isn't the most technical but his solo's are just magical. Sickie has a really great sense of melody and he never runs out of killer riffs. Dr. Heathen Scum is a very competent bass player and unlike many metal albums, his bass is audible. A very solid bass player. El Duce's drumming is just right and fits the music, perfectly. His rough vocal style is something unique. He is one of the Gods of Metal and he will be missed.

The lyrics are very well written. They are extremely sleazy and are not for P.C. types. Songs such as "Rock'em Sock'em", "Kick It On Down", "Secretary Hump", "Couch Test Casting", and "S.F.C.C." (Suck and Fuck and Cook and Clean) are guaranteed to piss off feminists. If you are looking for some shitty pseudo-intellectual poetry, stay the fuck away from The Mentors. The opening track "Heterosexuals Have The Right To Rock" is still true today due to many of the emo/scene kids that insist on blurring the gender line. This song was originally written to bash the Glam rock bands that were very popular at the time.

If you are a fan of old school Heavy Metal. The Mentors are a must. If you are just getting into this great band, this would be the album to start with. "Up The Dose" is perfection and a masterpiece in Metal that is often overlooked. A true classic!

Chinese Democracy will finally see the light of day.

As you probably know, Chinese Democracy will be released this Sunday through Best Buy. It will be Guns N Roses' first album of original material since 1991's "Use Your Illusions I and II." 14 years in the making... and for what? This album BLOWS donkey balls. You can tell that this has been in the making for so long. Some of these songs sound dated. They sound like the average Nine Inch Nails influenced pseudo industrial-"rock" song from 1997 - 2000. I'm not disappointed because I knew this album would suck! I'm just taking the opportunity to bash this piece of shit. This "music" is so fucking lame. It's hard to call some of this shit "rock." I'm reviewing this album based on the songs I heard from their MySpace page since they have the whole album streaming on there for the time being.

Axl, be ashamed. For those who think this is "the greatest album in music history", eat a bowl of fuck. This record is disturbingly gay. Every time someone plays Chinese Democracy, Elton John is getting his asshole destroyed to the point of eternal bleeding by his husband's dick! This is one of the worst albums I've ever heard. Don't buy it! It's a waste of money just like the making of this album was a waste of time. This albums screams out "THUPER DUPER GAY!" If you want quality music in 2008, get Hooded Meance's "Fulfill the Curse." REAL DOOM METAL.

This is just the same Metalcore/Screamo shit, just a lot worse. In short, If you like true metal, this band will piss you off! The thought of this band angers me. If you thought Limp Bizkit were bad, The Devil Wears Prada makes them look like the best band in the world.

Trivium are at it again! After claiming they were never "Metalcore" and releasing "The Crusade", an album that ripped off so many bands, musically. Trivium have decided to go back to their old metalcore sound and it's even more pussified than before. Matt Heafy also keeps his annoying wanna-be Jame Hetfield vocals. Two wrongs do not make a right. This is no exception. This album is the epitome of trendy. So shitty, it's painful to listen to. This is the soundtrack to every gay porn out there. The screaming vocals in Trivium have returned and sound as shitty as ever. They sound laughable and shittier than the average Metalcore scream. This shit has no place in Metal. How the fuck can anyone listen to this? This is just generic wanky melodic metalcore with more clean vocals. If you think that this is thrash, kill yourself. This isn't even Metal. This is just pure crap. So what if they know how they can play their instruments? It doesen't mean anything if they can't come up with a good song.

Don't waste your money. This is Trivium's gayest offering yet! If you like True Metal, stay far away! Anyone with any self-respect would not buy this turd of an album.

Rating: Giving this a 0 would be waaaaaay too kind. That fucking bad. No one can fail as hard as Trivium.

Rigor Mortis - Freaks

One of the greatest thrash metal recordings ever. Rigor Mortis are one of the standouts in thrash metal because of their flawless songwritting and musicanship. The structure is very much like Classical music. The music is extremely technical yet the band remembers that they have to write a well-structured song. Because of all of this, they are among the best thrash metal bands.

The production kicks ass. You can hear all instruments and the guitar tone is fucking great. All of these songs are memorable and brutal thrashers. No weak parts here. The best song on the EP would be "Six Feet Under/Worms of the Earth." The track contains 10 minutes of epic, brutal, and technical thrash metal with Classical music leanings. Although it's an EP, "Freaks" is my favorite Rigor Mortis release. As I said, there are no shitty songs. Get this fucking EP. It might be short but it's more fulfilling than most thrash metal albums.

Hooded Menace - Fulfill The Curse

Here it is, folks. The album of the year and what an album! If you have read my reviews, you can tell that I'm quite critical but I have no complaints for this album. Fulfill The Curse is just godly. Fans of Cathedral, Asphyx, and Candlemass will be pleased and being a fan of those bands, I can confirm this.

The music is very well structured. At times the music can be very epic and the music is just overall evil. Hooded Menace plays the finest bonecrushing doom metal out there with a great sense of melody. Fulfill The Curse captures the same atmosphere that the movies "Tombs of the Blind Dead" possess. The lyrics are very well written and are based on The Blind Dead movie series. The riffs are very memorable and are dark and erie. The guitar playing is not overly simple and it isn't overly technical. Crimson Executioner's bass playing is very good too. Especially on "Beauty and The Feast." The Hunchback's drumming is very good. Like the rest of the playing, it's not too simple and it isn't too technical. Which I consider to be a good thing. Especially in this style of music. Leper of Berzano's vocals are putrid and just fucking great. He kills all of those "BREEE BREEE" vocalists who sound like a pig getting anal fisted by a retard.

Highlights: All of the songs are perfect. I can't choose. Really, a review of this album can't describe how great this album is. Just buy this masterpiece of Horror Death/Doom Metal right now! It's on LP, courtesy of Doomentia Records!

Giddy Up Gangsta is probably the biggest piece of shit since Atreyu. In fact this rivals Atreyu as the worst band in the fucking world. Even the name is enough to make you not want to listen to it. Giddy Up Gansta is a deathcore band. It take everything that makes Deathcore suck and play it even worse than any deathcore band before it. That's right. This is worse than Waking the Cadaver. Even worse than the dead retard fronted slam band Ruthless Beatings. How could this be allowed into society? So many fucking groove riffs and hardcore breakdowns as well as shitty triggered drums. The vocalist probably sucked down another man's load before recording the vocal tracks because that's what it sounds like. This cum addicted faggot makes me sick just listening to it. There is not one redeeming quality. Even, Breesus Christ is better than this crap. God fucking damn. Your ears will be defiled by this turd of a band. This makes St. Anger look good in comparison. There is not one good thing about this band. I really hope this band just fucking disbands because the world has far more than enough shitty music as it is. Another shitty album might just kill music forever. It's that bad.

If you like real metal, stay far away from this band. Only recommended for posers and people who like to torture others.

Golgotha - demo

Golgotha were a band from Morgan City, Louisiana. They would later be known as Acid Bath. The reason why I decided to review their old demo is because this demo was something unique. Not saying that Acid Bath's material isn't. It is something I feel any fan of metal should hear. In 1991, Golgotha recorded a demo that I would consider a gem in the metal underground. The atmosphere on it is perfect. It's very morbid, very dark. The music is unique and heavy. It sounds almost like old school death metal but with clean vocals (although there are some occasional death metal vocals). Not as chaotic as most death metal bands though. They really concentrate on making a very morbid atmosphere. It really has it's own sound. The production could be better, but it's a demo so you can't expect much out of the sound quality. Especially if it was recorded almost 20 years ago. Golgotha would later change their name to Acid Bath and would release more quality music until they disbanded in 1997 due to the death of bassist, Audie Pitre.

Highlights: Apartment 13, Apocalyptic Sunshine, Finger Paintings Of The Insane, Blood of God, Nothingness, "The Mortician's Flame, and "What Color is Death."

Holy Jesus Titty-fucking the Virgin Mary-Christ!!!!!!! Jamey Jasta + Relapse Records? Oh no!!!! Relapse Records have done it again. Released another pointless album while shitting on their former-glories once again. Relapse use to put out good albums back in the 90's but now it's all about trendy music. Anyway, I'm going to be honest. I have NEVER been a Crowbar fan and I have tried to like them but I always get bored. Honestly, the only band I liked out of the whole Lousiana Sludge movement was Acid Bath. They were more original than the rest. That's right, I don't like Eyehategod or Down. Pretty much everybody involved with this project has no credibility in true metal with the possible exception of Kirk Windstein. But I'm not a fan of Windstein's bands. And as you can tell, Hatebreed makes me sick to my stomach. Kingdom of Sorrow is suppose to be "Hatebreed meets Crowbar." And they are right and it bores the shit out of me. The vocals are down right horrible. Especially Jamey Jasta's. I've always hated him as a singer. He always came across as a little pussy who wants to be tough but fails. The riffs are nothing special. There are simply no highlights here. Not even one redeeming quality! Just one big pile of steaming cow shit. If you want good sludge metal, go listen to Acid Bath. Stay away from this rancid splash of horse cum.

Deicide - Till Death Do Us Part

I'll be honest. The first couple listens, I didn't find "The Stench of Redemption" to be a bad album. After a couple more listens, I became bored of that record. "The Stench of Redemption" was hailed as the band's comeback album and their greatest. So far from the truth. And with "Till Death Do Us Part", I can say yet again that the magic of Deicide's demos and first 2 albums has faded long ago. Deicide are dead. Not even Vital Remains could save Glen Benton's career because the last great Vital Remains album came out in 1997 and that was Forever Underground. I think it's time for Glen Benton to throw in the towel.

The album starts off very promising. The opening track "The Beginning of the End" sounds very good but it's only an intro track. Next up is the title track which is okay but if it wasn't for the guitar solos, it would be very mediocre. "Hate of All Hatreds" is bland as hell. Same old shit from the previous album. Nothing interesting. For the most part, Deicide have become a lite version of new Vital Remains. The only thing that really gives this album points is the guitar solos. Other than that, it's the same old shit Deicide has been doing for years except the music is more melodic. By the next release, Deicide will end up putting out a full-blown melo"death" album. This album is mediocre but it has it's moments. Mainly the guitar solos. Not worth the money.

Cryptopsy - The Unspoken King

Cryptopsy have sold out and unleashed this abomination. "The Unspoken King" is gayer than Elton John with Boy George's cum dripping from his face. What we have here is pure faggotry. With "The Unspoken King", Cryptopsy officially comes out of the closet and reveals their true colors. Pink and Yellow. They raise the rainbow flag high and proud with this piece of shit.

The music sounds like deathcore with occasional wanna-be avant garde bullshit. So many gay ass breakdowns. As well as the annoying uber-technical bullshit you would here in Necrophagist. Their new vocalist Matt McGachy sounds like the average deathcore/metalcore singer. He's horrible. His clean vocals suck too. Flo Mournier can go fuck himself. He bashed his fans because they didn't like their new crap. Nice going, idiot. Who's going to buy your shitty album now?

One of the many bands thats wrong with death metal these days. They are a bunch of rock star wanna-be pricks too and are on every gay festival. There are no highlights on this album and if you buy it, you just wasted your money on one pointless album. To make records like Antithesis is so unreasonable. Shit like Origin, Hate Eternal, Dying Fetus, Necrophagist, and other unreasonable, pointless br00tal bands is something that should be avoided. Not praised. These bands are holding back death metal and trying to change it's meaning by staying far away from the genre's roots. This is not the next step for death metal. This is what's killing it!

True death metal fans, stay away from this piece of shit. Antithesis is worthless. There are no highlights. What do you expect? It's on Relapse Records for fuck's sake, so you know it's going to suck anyway.

Municipal Waste - The Art of Partying

The new retro-thrash trend has become annoying. There are fuckers out there that think this new shit is better than the old bands. They can't even name 10 old thrash bands and they only heard them because they downloaded their shit from soulseek (FUCK SOULSEEK!). One of the bands that made it trendy to rip off bands from 20+ years ago would be Municipal Waste. They recently released another pointless album. The Art of Pooping like all the other MW albums, will not be remembered in a decade from now. Why would people listen to this band? All they are doing is ripping off D.R.I and all the other 80's thrash bands. Why would anyone listen to that when they can listen to the real thing from the 80's? The music is so predictable. Everything about it is. The riffs are nothing noteworthy. Just bland thrash riffs that will make you feel like they have ripped them off from some other band. It's so fucking boring, it's ridiculous. The music sounds forced and plastic. There is nothing here that I could consider a highlight or a redeeming quality. If you want thrash, go listen Hallows Eve's "Tales of Terror" from 1985 and forget Municipal Waste.

Metallica - St. Anger

St. Anger is an album that will forever be remembered as the ultimate disgrace to music. St. Anger always seems to come up when one tries to describe how bad an album is. For Example, "Goddamn, this album is St. Anger bad." Even Jonathan Davis of KoRn thought St. Anger was horrible and Metallica at the time were playing nu-metal. Which should say alot. What is not to hate about St. Anger? There are no solos. I wonder if Kirk Hammett even played on this album. The music is nu-metal. You can tell Metallica were listening to alot of Linkin Park and Slipknot when recording this awful piece of shit. Hell, around the time of it's release, Metallica toured with Linkin Park in 2003. As well as Slipknot in 2004. Songs such as "Shoot Me Again", "Invisible Kid", "Frantic", etc. are insanely bad. Somewhere out there, Every time somebody plays this album, Elton John is getting down on his knees. It's hard to believe that this is the same band that recorded "...And Justice for All" or "Ride the Lightning." Ever since Metallica came out with "The Black Album", they keep killing their credibility. As well as scaring away old fans. St. Anger was suppose to be Metallica's comeback. I believe James Hetfield compared St. Anger to the pre-Kill Em All days. I'm pretty sure we all knew it was a lie. I don't recall Metallica's demos having any rapping, jumpdafukkup riffing, gay lyrics, or annoying snare drums. There is a difference between "Whiplash" and "Shoot Me Again."

Their ability of writting a song has totally went to shit. For example. Take the title track. Contains mindless lyrics that make little sense. Horrible song structure. A garage full of 12 year olds playing KoRn covers is musically superior to this. Metallica's old material was intelligent and very well-played. In the 80's, Metallica were one of the best metal bands. They had few thrash metal bands that could even compete with them. Example:

St. Anger opens up with "Frantic." The lyrics are so fucking dumb. It's unbearable to listen to them. Not to mention, the fucking snare drum which goes throughout the whole album. It sounds like Lars is banging on pots and pans. The riffs are fucking annoying too. That is basically the whole entire album. But just look at how dumb these lyrics are.

This is simply intolerable. The core-member of the band who goes by the name of Reverend Slampimp sounds like your average slam vocalist. He is a talentless shmuck. At first I thought it was a joke but when it comes to "da slamz", the line of what is real and what is not is so blurred. Everything about this is just wrong. The drummings, guitar playing, bass???, and the vocals are horrible. The song structures are shit. These aren't songs. Just crappy breakdowns and gravity beats. The fucking drumming almost sounds like hip hop beats on an accoustic drum set. Some of the guitar riffs sound like nu-metal before going into a Devourment-loving slamfest of gayness. Tons of inhaled cricket vocals and pigsqueals. Pure shit to my ears. Only good thing about it is that it ends. Sadly, people actually like this band. If you like Devourment, Waking the Cadaver, and other shit bands. You will like this. If you like true death metal, stay away.

The Black Dahlia Murder are fucking pathetic. People have been saying they are the next generation of death metal. If so then we are fucked. No. This isn't true death metal. This is fucking deathcore. Deathcore is for pussies who can't handle real death metal. The Black Dahlia Murder is pure shit in every sense of the word. What's surprising is that Necrolord (who did artwork for Dissection and Sacramentum) actually did the album cover for this gay band. The music is fucking wankery. So fucking what is they can play their instruments, they can't fucking write a song. The vocals are horrible. Sounds like Dani Filth doing metalcore. "Nocturnal" reeks of Ted Haggard. Why do albums like these exist? How can anybody enjoy this? Although it's not as bad as the new Waking the Cadaver, it's still chugs gallons of cum. It's worse than Megadeth's "Risk." The Black Dahlia Murder are a worthless band. Whoever said they were the next generation of death metal must be on crack. This is just another reason why scene kids should not pick up instruments or exist.

Machine Head - The Blackening

For the past year, I've been calling Machine Head's "The Blackening" the most overrated album of 2007 without hearing the whole thing. Today, I listened to the whole album and I was right. Lost my appetite. All because of listening to this abomination. People have been raving about Machine Head's latest record, "The Blackening." Some have been comparing it to Metallica's early material. Some have even gone so far to say it's the greatest metal album ever. But I want to say this. I would rather eat a KFC bucket of my own shit than to listen to The Blackening again. Machine Head are trying to be progressive metal but they failed. They also try to sound like old school thrash metal at times, and it only ends up sounding like Trivium. I want to know why people are acting like The Blackening is the greatest album of all time. It's nothing new. You might as well be listening to Shadows Fall or Bullet for My Valentine or some other emo-metalcore bullshit. Machine Head were always a trendy band. Hopped on every bandwagon. Look at the facts. When "Burn My Eyes" and "The More Things to Change" came out. Groove Metal was big. They followed the trend. Everybody wanted to sound exactly like Pantera and those two albums sounded boring and uninspired. Then came Nu-Metal. Robb Flynn became Flava Flynn. Machine Head recorded "The Burning Red" and "Supercharger" of which are some of the worst records of all time. Even some of Machine Head's hardcore fans thought those albums sucked. Soon, Metalcore became big with the rise of crappy bands like Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage. Machine Head followed this trend and released "Through the Ashes of Empires" and now "The Blackening." Like the album before it, The Blackening is a metalcore album. Now with more retro-thrash leanings. It features alot of the things that makes the current "metal scene" suck so badly. Clean emo vocals, generic and overdone groove riffs, Cliche and idiotic lyrics, Modernized sound, Pointless breakdowns, poor song structure, etc. Not to mention it's sad excuses for thrash metal riffs. Some of these songs are 9 minutes long but they are poorly done.

Robb Flynn's vocals sound like his normal wanna-be "tough guy" voice with a pussy Killswitch Engage-esque whinny emo voice. In one of the softer moments of "Halo," he sounds extremely bitchy like he's about to cry. This album is filled with musical cliches. I don't even know where to start. Sure, Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel can play guitar but does that really matter? They aren't doing anything that special. The riffs are recycled from countless other bands. Tons of boring groove riffs and lame post-"thrash" riffs. The lead guitar playing is nothing special either. It just sounds forced and dishonest. People say Machine Head aren't nu-metal anymore I hear tons of nu-metal moments in pretty much every song. I mentioned before that the lyrics are crap. Alot of them have to do with "teen angst." It sounds pathetic coming from a 20 year old loser but it's much worse from a 40 year old man.

Overall, listening to The Blackening all the way through was self-torture. I literally feel sick to my stomach and wish to have the last hour of my life back. The Blackening is probably the most overrated album of all time. Don't believe what you are told. This is not a masterpiece or a modern day classic. This is just a pathetic attempt at prog. metal, thrash, and metal as a whole. There is nothing unique about copying something bad that has been done before and playing it for 10 minutes. This is just boring and pathetic.

Bloodbath - Unblessing the Purity

For awhile I thought Bloodbath were dead when Dan Swanö left the band. That was until they announced the return of Bloodbath's original frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt. Recently the band have released a new EP, "Unblessing the Purity." Sadly, this EP was a huge dissapointment. The music is more modern sounding. Although they hinted that there would be a change in Bloodbath's sound on "Nightmares Made Flesh", I wasn't expecting they would sound like this. Basically, "Unblessing the Purity" is just another generic modernized death metal recording. This sounds nothing like the glory days of death metal. It could be worse though. They could've added "pig squeal" vocals and "slamming grooves." This sounds closer to a generic and innoffensive band such as Aeon rather than a classic death metal band like Carnage. The closest thing to the classic swedish death metal bands (of which they use to pay tribute to) would be the last song "Mouth of Empty Praise" and even that's modernized to death. The old swedish death metal sound is no longer in Bloodbath.

Hate Eternal started off as just another boring br00tal n tekknikle band with their debut "Conquering the Throne." They followed it up with "Kings Of All Kings" and that's where the band started to show tons of gayness. The music became extremely bland and boring. "I, Monarch" followed in KOAK's footsteps. "Fury & Flames" is the worst Hate Eternal album yet. It's the same boring br00tal overly technical death metal that they have been writting since Kings Of All Kings. Just worse. The drumming is what you are to expect from Hate Eternal. Blasturbation. The guitars are really doing nothing. It's just one big blur. Sure, it's technical but wheres the song??? Atheist and Immolation are technical and they can write songs. Hate Eternal lacks direction in their music. All that is here is a castrated, watered down version of brutal technical death metal. Brutal/Technical Death Metal is something hard to pull off right. Not even Necrophagist can sound this bad. Avoid "Fury & Flames" at all costs. If you are drunk enough to buy this album, don't say you weren't warned. It's not even worthy of being a coaster.

Dismember - Dismember

You can't go wrong with Dismember. They never released a bad album and have been around for 2 decades. It's good to see this band going strong after all these years. They haven't become trendy. They aren't recording long blasturbation sessions with over the top wankery. Unlike the shitty nu-slamcore bands, no stupid pig squeal vocals can be found. Their new self-titled album destroys all that pathetic modernized crap. I bet the people who listen to that shit wouldn't think it's so brutal if it didn't have big production. Dismember didn't need big production on this album and it's still more brutal than gay ass Putrid Pile. "Dismember" is a real death metal album. It may not bring anything new to the table but it gets the job done. Plus, listen to that guitar tone. I have heard tons of bands use it and Dismember are no strangers to it but the tone just sounds so goddamn good. Nice guitar playing too. Nothing extremely technical but it's just right. Great guitar harmonizing too. Dismember has a good sense of melody as well. The highlights are "Death Conquers All", "Under a Bloodred Sky", "The Hills Have Eyes", "Legion", "Tide of Blood", and "To End it All." If you can't enjoy this, you're not a metalhead.

Wow. Not much to say here except that this is the lamest excuse for death metal I've ever heard and that it makes Job for a Cowboy seem as godly as Morbid Angel in their prime. It's an endless gay pride parade with retarded breakdowns, boring blasturbation, shitty guitar playing that only plays groove riffs, and a mentally challenged scene kid shouting "BREEEEEEE BREEEEEEE" the whole goddamn time. This is only worthy of having the title of "WORST ALBUM OF 2007." If you actually like Waking the Cadaver, you might also enjoy another man's giant HIV infected cock jammed up your prostate. This is the worst of the worst right here. It makes Metallica's infamous "St. Anger" look godly in comparison. It's like a republican in a public bathroom. It's stupid, annoying, and hungry for cock. Waking the Cadaver gives death metal a bad name and should never under any circumstances allowed to be within 20 feet near an instrument or a recording device for the rest of their pathetic, miserable, little lives. Even 50 Cent could make a better death metal album than Waking the Cadaver. That says alot since 50 Cent isn't even metal and sucks a lot. Even Despised Icon would look down upon this album. It's that fucking bad. I would rather have an alive crab in my pants while listening to Bill O Reilly all goddamn day with a tattoo that says "Avenged Sevenfold groupie" on my chest. Shit has never been so shitty. Fuck Waking the Cadaver! Fuck br00tal slam death metal! And fuck deathcore!

Mayhem - Ordo Ad Chao

For those who were disappointed with "Chimera" and "Grand Declaration of War" might enjoy this album. However I just want to add that I have no problem with GDOW. Ordo Ad Chao marks the return of Attila Csihar of whom provided vocals on De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. The production on Odo Ad Chao is very dry and fits the music well. The music on this record is dark and evil. They haven't sounded this evil since the early days. There is even a doom metal influence on this OAC. Strangely, Mayhem's only original member in the band, Necrobutcher does not play on this album. Mayhem's guitarist Blasphemer plays bass. However Necrobutcher is still part of the band's line up. Blasphemer's guitar playing is very unique and I think he is a very overlooked guitarist in metal. Hellhammer's drumming on this album is great as always. He is one of the greatest drummers of all time, if not THE greatest drummer. Attila sounds like he's being possessed. His vocal performance is excellent. It fits the creepy atmosphere on Ordo Ad Chao.

Overall, this is Mayhem's best after DMDS. A masterpiece and one of the best albums of 2007. A very creative and strange record.

Subterranean Fecal Root - Anthems of the Antisocial Underground

I remember it was August 2006. Subterranean Fecal Root's mainman Fat Jenk, me, and few others were talking online. He told us he had a band and he was finally going to show us. He uploaded SFR's demo online. When I downloaded it and listened to it, I was bursting out in laughter. This was the funniest grindcore I ever heard. Jenk told us we were the first people (aside from the band) to ever hear Subterranean Fecal Root. A few months later, Subterranean Fecal Root took the underground by storm with their self-described "Shit-Grind." Subterranean Fecal Root soon gained attention in the underground. They began recording more songs and eventually, work began on Subterranean Fecal Root's debut album "Anthems of the Anti-Social Underground." Soon, drummer Derek Weir joined the band. Along the way, one of the founding members, LeftOvah departed from the band. But this didn't keep them back. Subterranean Fecal Root continued with the recording.

"Anthems of the Anti-Social Underground" is a spastic grindcore album. It is one big ignorant, hateful, pissed off, and retarded monster of an album. Loaded with funny song titles such as "Slithering Nectar Bellied Worm Of Gayness", "Cowardly Sobbing Emo Suckling Upon His Fathers Freshly Used Anal Vibrator", "Farting A Spinach Loaf On Your Face", "Urine Filled Plastic Bottle Highway Litter", "Posing As A Silly Christian To Get A Job And Tons Of Pussy", etc. Everything this band has written is here! That makes 37 songs of grindcore brilliance. The music is meant to be unlistenable and retarded. They somewhat succeed but only to the point where it's listenable. With this record, SFR takes a long, liquid, and nutty shit all over everything from Slam-death and emo to Feminism and Christianity. Subterranean Fecal Root are a very addictive and fun band. Anthems of the Antisocial Underground is a modern day grindcore classic.

There is a deeper meaning to SFR. The Subterranean Fecal Root philosophy is to reject and hate all that is wrong with the world. Even if it's for ignorant reasons, hate them. Don't let new aged and urban cocksuckery ruin your life. All the dipshittery caused by all the fucking Gerald Ways, the Eminem's, the Jamey Jasta's, the Matt Heafy's, the Bill O Reilly's, etc. It's people like the average Hot Topic shopping prepubecent fuck that is wrong with the world. Hate them and hate their idols. If you like Avenged Sevenfold, you should probably kill yourself. Or stop liking them and become a born again hetero and buy this fucking album.

Anal Vomit are the greatest band to emerge from Peru. They are criminally underrated and once again, Anal Vomit unleashes another filthy and sadistic black/death assault of an album. "Depravation" is for those who love old school black/death metal. This album is raw and vile. The riffs on Depravation are fucking brutal as hell. The vocals are very demonic and are your typical 80's death metal rasp. This record is everything a fan of early extreme metal could want. Especially if you are a fan of the Brazilian metal masters, Sarcofago.

In closing to this short review. Don't expect anything totally original. If you like black metal and death metal in the old school vein, buy this album! You won't regret it.

Classic Album of the Week: Pestilence - Consuming Impulse

Starting off originally as a cult thrash metal act, the dutch band known as Pestilence soon switched to death metal with 1989's "Consuming Impulse." Consuming Impulse is Pestilence's 2nd album and their best. This is one of my personal favorites. Not only that but the album cover is probably the best fucking cover ever.

Consuming Impulse is an old school death metal classic. This is the Netherlands' answer to Death's "Leprosy" album. One of the most notorious songs in death metal makes it's appearance. That song would be the infamous "Out of the Body." A song that is about "your worst fucking nightmare" as then-vocalist Martin Van Drunen would say. "Out of the Body" is a death metal anthem. Packed with killer riffs and the brutal vocals. Consuming Impulse does not have a weak song on it. Once you play this album, it beats you to a pulp and eats you alive. When it's done, it spits out your bones. Consuming Impulse is a mandatory album for death metal fans. After this, Pestilence adopted a more progressive sound on 1991's "Testimony of the Ancients" and 1993's "Spheres." After that they had split up but recently they have reunited.

Nunslaughter is a band that will never sellout. They pretty much still have the same sound they had in the 80's. "Hex" is exactly what you would expect from Nunslaughter.

What we have here are 17 blasphemous tracks that will drive the listener into insanity. Don of the Dead's raspy old school death metal yell is demonic. The riffs are fucking evil too. All the songs are brutal as fuck and will rip your head off. There are even touches of Doom Metal on some songs. Hex is a masterpiece and Nunslaughter's best album yet! There are NO weak tracks on this record, absolutly flawless. Hex is one of the greatest albums of 2007 by far. I highly recommend it to all fans of extreme metal!

Highlights: "This Is Fucking War", "I Hate Christians", "Pyre", "To Defile", "Ogrish", "Unbaptized", "Hex", "Smell the Burning Churches", "Face of Evil", "Lucifer", and "My Evil Concubine."

Massacre - The Second Coming

Here it is. The long lost Massacre album. I had no idea this was finally coming out until last week when I looked at Hell's Headbanger's site. I got it in the mail last Saturday. "The Second Coming" was recorded back in 1990 after Massacre's reformation in 1989. The line up features Kam Lee on vocals, Rick Rozz on guitar, Joe Cangelos (ex-WHIPLASH, ex-KREATOR) on drums, and Butch Gonzales on bass. "The Second Coming" sounds very different from the rest of Massacre's discography. Although it bares a resemblance to the classic Massacre sound, it also sounds similar to Atheist. This is the most technical Massacre album. Very unique too. There is even some slap-bass work on this record. The sound on "The Second Coming" is raw but still audible. There are tons of great riffs on this album. Butch Gonzales is a very good bass player too. Sadly this is the only known recording he has ever been featured on. His shinning moment here is "Devouring Hour." Which is also the best song on the album. What were Earache thinking when they decided not to put it out? There are no weak songs on it. This edition released by Hell's Headbangers/Nunslaughter Records contains "The Second Coming" recordings as well as a live version of "From Beyond" from 1992 as a bonus track. This is definitely worth the money and every metal fan should own it.

Classic Album of the Week: Massacre - From Beyond

Year: 1991

Massacre are one of the most important bands in metal yet one of the most underrated. They are one of the founding fathers of death metal and innovators. If it wasn't for Kam Lee, most death metal vocalists would NOT have that low-pitched growl of which is very common in death metal.

This isn't your ordinary death metal album. All of the material on "From Beyond" are re-recordings from Massacre's early days. Meaning, these are some of death metal's first songs. The album opens up with "Dawn of Eternity." Starting off with an epic and slow riff soon builds up into a bloodbath of death metal! Other underground anthems from their demo days such as "Cryptic Realms", "Chamber of Ages", "From Beyond", and "Corpsegrinder" make an appearance on this recording. "Corpsegrinder", an ode to necrophilia is probably the band's most well-known song. It was also originally a Death song written by Kam in 1984 when he did vocals and drums for them. However, most of the lyrical themes are inspired by the famous writer, H.P. Lovecraft. "From Beyond" is flawless and still sounds fresh after all these years. Every song on this album has very catchy yet brutal riffs. The vocals are fucking great too! "From Beyond" slays 99% of the albums you'll find. This is a very special record in metal. Sadly, it was a victum of bad timing. Had this album been released in 1987, Massacre most likely would've gotten more recognition.

In closing, this is a must-have. From Beyond is the ultimate weapon against posers that every metalhead should have in their possession. It is the definitive death metal album. Massacre were a true cult band that made an important impact on Metal. They weren't the most popular band but if it wasn't for them, bands such as Blood Freak, Nunslaughter, Incantation, Benediction, Asphyx, God Macabre, Napalm Death, Unleashed, Immolation, and pretty much all the death metal bands after them wouldn't exist.

I have a very simple concern with the new "Economic Stimulus" coming from the White House:

Where are they going to get $145,000,000.00 to just hand out?

If giving it to us now is such a good idea why did they collect it from us in the first place?

"Supply-siders" (followers of the so-called "Reaganomics") defend less progressive tax burdens, claiming that money kept by the wealthiest will trickle down into the economy. That sounded fine, but economics proved that it wasn't so, but it is still a cornerstone of Republican economic policy, until now!

Republicans want to give money to everybody!

My obvious complaint is that the government does not have this money to just give out. They are going to print it anyways, and thus will steal from everybody by creating inflation. The joke is on you if you think this money is a gift. It has been stolen, even if from just fractions of pennies so that you will think that a politician can actually influence the business cycle.

And I thought Aborted were the sorriest attempt at death metal. Despised Icon makes Aborted sound like Infester! Seriously, Deathcore is basically for emo/scene kids who can't handle real death metal. This album is painfully gay. Basically the soundtrack to every male on male prison rape. "BREEEE BREEE" vocals everywhere. What the fuck is that faggotry? That is fucking laughable. Tons of Metalcore breakdowns can be found in this huge ocean of AIDS infected diarrhea. No originality what so ever. It's funny when the vocalist tries to sound like a real death metal singer but ends up failing. Despised Icon are incapable of writing anything that could even be consider decent. Some of this shit reminds me of The Dillinger Ass to Mouth Plan. I can't believe people could take this shitty band seriously. If this is true death metal then Elton John is the king of metal. Fucking goddamn! I can't think of one redeeming quality on this piece of shit. Yes, they are decent musicians (except for the singer), but they have yet to write a real song that isn't full of breakdowns and wankery. So they don't get a point for knowing how to play their instrument because they don't know how to write a song.

If you like true death metal, stay the fuck away from this homo-porn soundtrack. If you like deathcore, you'll probably like it. If so, you might also like an HIV infected penis jammed up your prostate.

Aborted were never a good band. Matter of fact, they are a disgrace to metal. It hurts when people call them "death metal" because Aborted are simply not worthy of the title. Deathcore/Br00t4l Slam death fanboys will probably fellate this album thinking they are the most "Br00t4l b4nd eva!!!1." Much like the rest of their discography, "Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture" opens a big can of suck ass. The singer even does metalcore-style vocals! BOOOOO!!!!! Aborted are for scene kids. If you want true death metal these days, listen to Blood Freak instead of this monstrosity of a band. Jeff Walker from Carcass makes a guest appearance on this abomination but it still doesn't change the fact that this album chugs down buckets of horse semen. Listening to this album was one big blur to me. There isn't anything memorable about "Slaughter & Apparatus" except that it blew pit bulls. What the fuck is so special about this band? It's fecal matter like Aborted that's wrong with death metal these days. Fuck this semen shitting session of an album!

Godless Rising - Battle Lords

For those who don't know, Godless Rising are a fairly new band who formed 3 years ago. The band features ex-Vital Remains vocalist, Jeff Gruslin. "Battle Lords" is the 2nd album from Godless Rising and their best yet. "Battle Lords" truely lives up to it's name. This is the soundtrack to war! What we have here is death metal with some hints of black metal. Jeff proves he still has it. This is his best vocal peformance to date. The guitar work on Battle Lords is very technical yet it isn't total wank like Necrophagist. This album does not run out of riffs. Paul Flynn (ex-Vital Remains) and Mike Lecam (ex-Ritual Sacrifice) are criminally underrated guitarists that deserve much more praise. They are up there with K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton. Highlights are "Heathen's Rage", "Battle Lords", "Sadistic Ritual Carnage", "Ancient Grave Lands", "Beyond The Graves We Desecrate", and "Revelation of The Dead King." This album gets better with each listen too. "Battle Lords" shits all over the trendy deathcore and "br00tal" slam-death bands. It will trample the scene kid posers and the Vanilla Ice wanna-be's who call himselfs "death metal fans" these days.

If you want epic satanic death metal, I highly reccomend this album! You won't be dissapoited.

Classic Album of the Week: Death - Human

Year: 1991

Death are the greatest band of all time. Bar none. Each record is flawless and I could considered any one of them as my favorite album. The reason why I chose to review "Human" is because Human is what I consider the turning point for Death. It has a combination of the band's old sound and future sound. Death were originally a death metal band that wrote songs full of brutality and malevolence. 1990's "Spiritual Healing" hinted Death's new direction but it wasn't until Human came out in 1991, that Death found their sound. A sound that brings brutality and melody together. Also played by extremely talented musicians. Although, this has been done before with countless bands. Death did it differently. It's almost impossible to explain but Death just had a very unique sound that cannot be copied. On Human, Death's mastermind Chuck Schuldiner recruited Cynic members Paul Masvidal (guitar) and Sean Reinert (drums). As well as the legendary Steve DiGiorgio on bass. Making this a landmark in Death Metal.

On this record, Chuck's songwriting matured and the music became more technical. The lyrics are more introspective. Musicanship is flawless. Chuck Schuldiner was the riff-master. My all time favorite guitarist. The opening riff to "Together as One" is probably the best riff ever written. The thick guitar tone on Human is definitely the best tone I have ever heard on any album. Lots of great riffs, pounding double-kick drums, brilliant bass playing, and perfect vocals. Songs such as "Suicide Machine", "Lack of Comprehension, and "Cosmic Sea" are considered metal anthems. The Japanese edition contains a cover of Kiss' "God of Thunder." Which is miles better than the original.

Each song on this record gets a 10+. There is not a single song I would skip over. Human (as well as the rest of Death's discography) annihilates everything in it's path. If you do not own it, make this the next album you buy. I will also say if you do not like this album, you have absolutely no business in metal at all.

Tampa, Florida's Denial Fiend are a new band featuring metal legends Kam Lee, Curtis Beeson, Terry Butler and punk pioneer Sam Williams. The music on their debut "They Rise" can be described as "Horror Metal." The music is heavily influenced by ancient death metal, thrash, and horror punk. Lyrically influenced by old school horror films. Not the shitty Nu-horror CGI kiddie films. "They Rise" has a very original sound. A breath of fresh air from all the trendy -core bands. Even though Denial Fiend's influences consists of mainly old school metal, they are NOT a fucking retro band who tries to sound like they came out in 1985. Denial Fiend defies all modern trends!

"They Rise" features some of Kam's best vocal performances to date. He sounds evil as fuck and can sound very demonic at times. After a long absence from the metal scene, he proves that he still has it. Kam is hands down the greatest death metal vocalist alive. Lots of great riffs can be found here. Sam Williams is a riff master and his solos are fucking great. This album is just perfect. Very catchy and not a single weak song can be found on it. The album even features a re-worked version of "Legions of Doom" ("L.O.D.") from Death's 1983 "Death By Metal" demo back when they went by the name of Mantas. The very first death metal recording! "They Rise" is the best album of 2007 as far as I'm concerned! It wouldn't be a stretch to say that "They Rise" is one of the greatest metal albums of all time. All Metalheads must hear this masterpiece. This is exactly what this metal "scene" needs! Especially in America! If you don't like Denial Fiend, you should be ripped to shreds with a chainsaw before you watch your mother get skullfucked to death!

In a much-needed victory, Hillary Clinton got back into the horse race by winning the Democratic New Hampshire primary. The Metal Pundit's officially-endorsed candidate, Barack Obama, came in a close second. John Edwards finished third.

John McCain won the Republican primary in New Hampshire, followed by Mitt Romney.

This campaign season is getting more interesting as it develops.

Classic Album of the Week: Necrophobic - The Nocturnal Silence

Sweden has been one of main exporters of metal in the past 20 years. The country is home to bands such as Edge of Sanity, Crypt Of Kerberos, Runemagick, Nihilist, Dismember, God Macabre, Unleashed, Liers in Wait, Morbid, Grave, Merciless, Carnage, Moondark, Entombed, Therion, Candlemass, Grosteque, Amon Amarth, Dissection, Marduk, Abruptum, Bathory, F.K.Ü., Yngwie J. Malmsteen, and that's just to name a FEW. But who is Sweden's best band? My answer would be Stockholm's NECROPHOBIC! Necrophobic formed in 1989 and prior to the release of their legendary "The Nocturnal Silence" album, they already had a cult following with their demos and as well as their 1992 EP "The Call." In March of 1993, Necrophobic entered Sunlight Studios to record "The Nocturnal Silence." An album I would consider the best album to emerge from Sweden if not the best album to emerge from Scandinavia! "The Nocturnal Silence" was soon released in August later that year.

The Nocturnal Silence is an evil death metal album with hints of black metal. Although not enough to call it "blackened death metal." The album opens up with the appropriately titled "Awakening...", a perfect way to kick off an album. Starting off with a keyboard intro and then goes into full blown death metal from Hell. The title track alone makes this one of the best albums in the history of metal. It opens up with an eerie clean guitar and soon builds up. Growing heavier and faster with each riff. The haunting atmosphere is overwhelming. Anders Strokirk's vocals on this album are shouts of pure evil! David Parland's guitar playing on this album makes it one of the best guitar albums ever. His brutal riffs and melodic solo's are nothing short of brilliant. This is everything an extreme metal fan could want! The highlights on this album are: "Awakening...", "Before the Dawn", "The Nocturnal Silence, "The Ancients Gate", "Sacrificial Rites", and "Where Sinners Burn."

In closing, "The Nocturnal Silence" is a masterpiece. A true gem of the early 90's Swedish death metal scene. Sadly, it appears this album is out of print and obtaining a copy will not be cheap. But if you can find it, do not hesitate to buy it. You won't regret it.

Hooded Menace - The Eyeless Horde

Year: 2007

Hooded Menace formed last year in Joensuu, Finland when members, Lasse (aka Leper Messiah) (VACANT COFFIN, PHLEGETHON), Anton (aka Hunchback), and Robert (aka Crimson Executioner) began jamming to Candlemass covers with death metal vocals. They later began writting their own material. Soon, Hooded Menace recorded this demo, "The Eyeless Horde." What we have here is crushing Death/Doom Metal. This will KILL all the posers out there! This is not another shitty deathcore band. The lyrical themes are based on the Blind Dead movies. The songs on this demo are "Fulfill the Curse" and "The Eyeless Horde." Both tracks are heavy as fuck and have somewhat of an old school feel to it. They are very simular to the early 90's death/doom bands. Lots of crushing riffs and excellent guitar leads. Especially in the title track of this demo. Lasse's vocals remind me somewhat of Tomi Koivusaari from Amorphis when they were a death metal band. The sound on this demo is very professional too. This is quality death/doom and is exactly what the metal "scene" needs today. Hooded Menace will go down in history as one of the best doom metal bands ever. This demo is an introduction to one of metal's future gods. Their upcoming debut album will be a mandatory release for all metalheads this year.

I highly reccomend Hooded Menace if you are a fan of Asphyx, (old) Paradise Lost, Candlemass, Winter, Autopsy, and (old) Amorphis. You can listen to their entire demo at their MySpace page.

"The Eyeless Horde" will be released as a 7" EP soon. Hooded Menace will be releasing their debut album "Fulfill The Curse" on Razorback Records later this year.

Above is Barack Obama's victory speech at the Iowa Caucus. This speech demonstrates Obama's superior oratory skills. His message is clear: It's time to unite America. This is not a nation of blue states and red states. This is the UNITED States! No other candidate has the persuasive power Obama possesses. This is truly a historic event!

Obama Wins Iowa Caucus!

Illinois Senator Barack Obama won the Democratic Iowa Caucus today with 37% of the delegate vote. In a close second and third, John Edwards and Hilary Clinton (respectively) each received roughly 30% of the delegate vote.

This is an important win for Obama. Hopefully he can keep this momentum and take it into the New Hampshire primaries. This is a crucial step in the movement to reinstate much-needed progressive values in our nation's executive branch. Barack Obama is the man to lead this country to positive change.

In the Republican Caucus, Mike Huckabee stunned Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson in his win. However, analysts are currently speculating that this caucus may be meaningless since John McCain may easily win New Hampshire, thus capturing enough momentum to win on Super Tuesday. This remains to be seen.

Decision 2008 is heating up everyone! Don't blink or you may miss something special.

Sodom - The Final Sign of Evil

Although "In the Sign of Evil" was an EP, it was always my favorite release from Sodom. When I heard a few months ago that Sodom were going to re-record this EP including some of the other songs that were suppose to be on ITSOE, I thought it was going to either work or it would fail. The reason why I thought this wouldn't work out was because on most re-recordings, bands will fuck up their old classics and it would sound overproduced and the old feeling from the originals wouldn't be there. Thankfully, this is not so with "The Final Sign of Evil" and it worked out for the better. It is one of the few exceptions I'll make with re-recordings.

Because of the budget with their label, a lot of the songs were omitted from the original Sign of Evil. This is what "In The Sign of Evil" was suppose to be. "The Final Sign of Evil" features the 1984 line up for the band. Also, the production sounds really old school as if it was recorded in the 80's. Which I am thankful for because I usually don't like it when bands re-record some of their earlier material with modern production. There are no weak songs on this re-recoding. They didn't fuck up any of the songs that made it to the original Sign of Evil either. The best song on here is "The Sin of Sodom" as well the classic "Witching Metal."

To sum it all up, "The Final Sign of Evil" is Sodom's best album. Easily, one of the best albums of 2007. A great re-recording of a black/thrash classic.

The Iowa Caucus: Setting the Pace for Party Nominations

The Iowa Caucus is the first major electoral event in presidential elections. This year's caucus will be held on Thursday, January 3. The caucus itself is not an election where citizens are able to vote for their preferred candidate. Instead, citizens gather and choose delegates who will eventually attend their respective party's national convention. The particular candidate who receives the most support (either through a straw poll, used by the Republican Party, or by a viability threshold, used by Democrats) is said to be the winner at the caucus.

The importance of the caucus is that it sets the tone for the primary election season. The winner of the Iowa caucus usually becomes stronger as potential contributors multiply. Furthermore, the winner of the Iowa Caucus arrives at the New Hampshire primaries (the next major electoral event) with tangible momentum. Candidates who make a strong showing at these two events are usually considered for the party nomination. A candidate who wins both is almost certain to receive the nomination. The dynamics of these elections are quite interesting, and all politically-conscious citizens should pay special attention.

At this time, the Des Moines Register poll has Republican candidate Mike Huckabee ahead by 4 points, and the Democratic candidate Barack Obama is ahead by 7 points. Hopefully, for me, this poll is sufficiently accurate to predict an Obama victory.

New Metal Pundit for 2008

Al Bundy and I have been working on revamping this blog. Hopefully many of our original readers will return and help make this blog as great as it once was. The original Metal Pundit paved the way for new friendships, and we hope we can continue making great friends while discussing what we love the most: METAL! Of course, this blog will be heavily skewed politically. As you all know, the administrators of this blog are all a bunch of crazy, anti-Bush liberals! However, we respect opposing opinions and we strictly treat everyone respectfully (unless you ask for it, of course). This is a place to debate and challenge our most solidified virtues.

A new spin to this blog will be my thoughts and analysis of legal topics. As many of you may know, I am currently in my first year of law school. I have completed my first semester and I have learned incredible amounts of law and lawyering skills. I will gladly explain legal concepts with which I am already familiar. As my studies progress, I will be able to offer more insight. However, please do not ask for legal advice because I am not yet a licensed attorney. It is against the law for a law student to offer legal advice, so don't bother.

As many of you know, I will be starting my legal career this Monday, August 20. As a result of this, I will be away from this blog for a while. As a matter of fact, I have been ignoring this blog for quite some time, mainly because the road to getting accepted to law school was arduous. Furthermore, I didn't want to write any politically-related articles because future employers will likely investigate me, and I wouldn't want my political ideology to hurt my chances (you never know).

This isn't farewell by any means. I will probably share my thoughts about law school from time to time. I may relinquish my frustration on here as well. I hope you all understand.

A Compromise for the Future:

I've heard a lot of terrible things that are perfectly untrue said about Mexican immigrants lately. I've heard fear-mongers make them out to be unlawful degenerates, and even more ridiculously- terrorists! I've got a message that is not new at all:

"Give me your tired, your poor,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

That's very likely what your own ancestors saw and heard when they got off the boat. If you think your ancestors came here legally then you are kidding yourselves. The Irish that came to America in the 19th century were treated worse than slaves and were rushed to the front lines to face their certain death at the other end of Confederate gunfire in the war of northern aggression between the years of 1861-1865. Otherwise they were spit on, shat on, and paid pathetic fractions of their comparable "natives" wages for doing the same work. Watch the movie "Gangs of New York" if you need some perspective. They were only given citizenship because they could be sacrificed for Mr. Lincoln and his Republicans in his conquest of Virginia.

Okay, the history isn't helping us in 2007. Here's my proposal:

All U.S. Citizens are required to do the following:
1) Pay taxes
2) Speak and Write in English

1) We all pay taxes. Income tax is ridiculous and unconstitutional, but we've been over this already. The Fair Tax makes sure that the people using government are all paying for it. Everybody buys retail goods, absolutely everybody. Even tourists, even illegal immigrants, in fact more than legal citizens. It's also the only way our government has a prayer of keeping our benefits funded, like Social Security and Medicare.

2) We must have an official language. This is where the no-amnesty guys will start to realize that I haven't lost my mind. The English language won a majority vote to German by just a handful of votes during the debate over what our language would be. Can you imagine the persistent disaster that would have plagued us if our founding fathers refused to adopt a uniform language? The cost of doing government with translators is terrifying, and it is destroying our chances of public schools working. I am truly enthusiastic and grateful that people want to be Americans, but before giving them the same rights that we fight and have died to preserve, I'm perfectly fine with requiring that you be tested for sufficient aptitude at the English language.

People don't immigrate just to abuse the local health care system. You don't leave your homeland to take somebody's job. You leave your homeland in persuit of opportunity. If you wish to deny this persuit to others then you are less American than somebody who is currently leaping over that stupid fence near San Diego. The only thing we as citizens ask is that you learn the language we do business in, and that you pay your fair share of taxes. Our current tax system is abominably fucked, so once we fix that we native Americans will learn that immigration has, and always will strengthen our country.

House Passes Timetable for U.S. Troop Pullout!

Finally! The Democrats have finally acted upon their mandate won in November. The country's most important issue, the war in Iraq, has divided many in our soil. Furthermore, and most importantly, it has been the cause of death for thousands of our troops and many more Iraqi civilians. The House of Representatives passed legislation setting a timetable for a troop pullout. It says that the troops must be home by September 2008 if Iraq doesn't meet certain requirements. There is no question that this is the correct action to be taken after four years of relentless fighting.

Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) had to say:

The American people have lost faith in the president's conduct of this war. The American people see the reality of the war, the president does not.

Agreed! The White House has threatened a veto by the President. Democrats, nevertheless, grew some testicles and decided to face Bush with no fear. The administration has effectively lost touch with the reality of the Iraq War. Our current operations are no longer working (assuming they did work in the first place). Its imcompetence to plan a post-war Iraq led to the destruction of many American lives, and a dire situation where terrorism has flourished in Iraq. Osama Bin Laden is probably thanking Allah for Bush's war in Iraq!

As expected, this was a party-line vote. The legislation passed 218-212. Republicans were quick to argue that such a timeline would be an admission of failure. What they ignore is that, if it is indeed a failure, it is due to a Republican administration full of ineptitude and corruption!

Republican Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO) had this to say:

The stakes in Iraq are too high and the sacrifices made by our military personnel and their families too great to be content with anything but success

I agree. The stakes in Iraq have been very high and the sacrifices made by our military have been enormous. However, if this is the case, why did the Pentagon and the White House pursue a war without adequate planning? Why were our soldiers rotting away in awful conditions at Walter Reed? It seems like the "idea" of the stakes and sacrifices is what Republicans like Blunt are worried about, not reality.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer(D-Md) said:

The American public expects, the Congress of the United States, to do something, not simply to say 'yes' to failed policies, but to on their behalf, speak out and try to take us in a new direction.

I applaud Mr. Hoyer!

Hopefully the Iraqis will see this action as a kick in the ass. Perhaps this will force them to take action and defend their country. It is now their job to secure and stabilize Iraq. Of course, it is debatable whether it can be done, regardless of our presence there. Iraq would probably best function as three separate countries, but that's a debate for a different day.

Republicans, of course, claim that the legislation is full of pork, and it is. However, we must realize that pork is what "greases the wheels" in order for the vehicle to move. If pork is necessary to get this done, then so be it. I'd sure rather have a pork-laden legislation passed than continue to lose our troops in Iraq!

House Ok's Subpoenas for Karl Rove and Aides

The Democratic-controlled House ok'd subpoenas for Bush advisor Karl Rove and other White House aides. The firing of several U.S. attorneys triggered this much-needed move, despite President Bush's threats against the Democrats.

Dubya warned Democrats that such a political move would be met with a "legal fight". He argues that the Rove and aides should be questioned out of oath and, perhaps, off the record. In other words, he wanted to create a stage where his advisors could do what they have continously done throughout his presidency-lie!

According to Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA):

After two months of stonewalling, shifting stories and misleading testimony, it is clear that we are still not getting the truth about the decision to fire these prosecutors and its cover-up

Hopefully, the Senate Committee on the Judiary will also issue a subpoena for Rove, as well as former White House Counsel Harriet "not-good-enough-for-wingnuts" Miers and her former deputy, William Kelley.

On Bush's lie-friendly terms, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) said:

Anyone who would take that deal isn't playing with a full deck

Alberto Gonzales has to either resign or be removed as Attorney General. The White House has recurringly shifted reasoning regarding the firing of the attorneys. Furthermore, Gonzales admitted to the illegal aquisition of personal data from Americans over the past few years. When will the lies and scandals end? I know, 2008!

In other news, Congress will vote on legislation dealing with troop withdrawal from Iraq. A House committee also made it possible for Valerie Plame, outed former CIA agent, to testify before it.

If the RIAA and SoundExchange get their way, independent webcasting / Internet radio will soon cease to exist.

Why? The Copyright Royalty Board , the group overseeing statutory licensing for US-based internet radio stations, announced the new royalty rates for streaming radio performance rights. The board rejected the arguments made by webcasters and instead chose to adopt the proposal put forth by industry-backed SoundExchange, a royalty fee collection agency created by the RIAA.

The new rates are based on “performances” of songs. A “performance” is defined as one song being streamed to a single listener. In other words, a station with 1000 listeners is charged for 1000 performances of each song it broadcasts.

Further, the new rates, just announced today, are retroactive to 2006, and increase rapidly each year. The rates per performance are as follows:

$0.0008 in 2006
$0.0011 in 2007
$0.0014 in 2008
$0.0018 in 2009

At first glance, those seem like fairly small numbers: eight ten-thousandths of a dollar, eleven ten-thousandths of a dollar, and so on. When you actually do the math, however, you see the truth revealed. The average radio station plays 16 songs in an hour. Under this system, that would be equivalent to 16 performances.

0.0011 x 16 = 0.0176

Still a fairly small number - under two cents. But now assume this station has 1000 listeners. That means that, in one hour, the station would be billed for 16,000 performances.

0.0011 x 16000 = 17.60

That’s $17.60 an hour. Now we’re starting to see how expensive this truly is. Multiply that by 24 hours a day.

17.60 * 24 = 422.40

$422.40 a day. But there’s 365 days in a year.

422.40 * 365 = 154176

$154,176 for the year in performance royalties alone for a station with 1000 listeners. And that’s just for 2007: it gets even worse. In 2008, the cost rises to $193,536 for the year. In 2009, it goes up to $248,832. Even for a much smaller station, the royalties owed are huge.

Of course, these figures don’t include the other set of rights that Internet radio stations are required to purchase, which must be licensed separately from an agency like SESAC or ASCAP[/COLOR] , or the cost of bandwidth and server capacity. When you add all these costs together, you can easily see why nobody, save perhaps a megacorporation like AOL or Yahoo, could afford to pay these rates.

But wait - what’s this? The new rates apply retroactively to the beginning of 2006. In other words, someone who has been happily (and legally) running their small internet radio station for the past few years is suddenly going to be hit with possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional royalties owed. These bills could easily cause a small, independent broadcaster (and his family) to go bankrupt.

Meanwhile, over-the-air radio stations are still not required to pay one dime to the record industry for public performance rights from SoundExchange or an equivalent group. They only need to pay the far more reasonable fees of BMI, ASCAP, and/or SESAC. This reads like another tactic by the recording industry and corporate powers to exert control over anyone involved with music and an attempt to destroy independent broadcasting.

Whether you don’t want to see your favorite internet radio station go off the air, whether you just hate the RIAA, whatever the reason: please, help us get this senseless, greedy policy designed to do nothing but line the pockets of the record industry overturned. Write to, or better yet call, your representative , your senators, and the Copyright Royalty Board . Tell your friends and family, write on your blog, digg this - help get the word out and help to Save Internet Radio!

As many of have probably heard, Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) has indicated that he is thinking about a White House bid in 2008. This news comes as somewhat of a surprise due to the senator vehemently denying consideration just a few months ago. Obama now gives many Democrats like me hope for 2008. This nation needs a strong leader who can UNITE its people, not DIVIDE us like George W. Bush has done. Obama, in his book The Audacity of Hope, suggests that we need a new kind of politics, one that promotes unity to solve our nation's most critical problems. Not only must we fight corporate special interests, but we must also not tax ourselves to death. We should employ diplomacy with persuasion along with a strong military for our most serious threats. Our government must THINK before it acts. This is what Obama stands for, and that alone warrants my support for him.

I came across Obama's eloquent ideas during his 2004 senatorial campaign, in which I was a volunteer. In person, Obama is just as well-spoken, intelligent, and well-mannered as he appears on camera, perhaps even more. He embodies everything our nation's leader should be. I urge everyone who loves this country to support Obama. If you happen to have concerns regarding his experience, rest assured that nobody arrives to the presidency "prepared". We have seen this is true with the current president, who never quite looked prepared to handle our domestic concerns. For those of you who are skeptical about both parties, I don't blame you. However, it is your job as a citizen to change the current political landscape, and refusing to participate only makes your cause look hypocritical. Let us save this nation from governing ineptitude.

Remembering Vivian Casalduc

Every single American knows the impact the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001 had on this country. We had never been attacked in such a way, leaving us terrified and heartbroken. This year marks the 5th anniversary of, perhaps, the darkest day in American history. Our nation moved on, but the scars of the attacks remain in our hearts. The memories of that horrific day remain in our minds. The sorrow of losing so many loved ones remains in our souls.

In remembrance of September 11th, we set politics aside. We calm our anger toward our attackers. We look inside ourselves, profoundly, and ask whether we have become better people since that day. Most importantly, we refuse to forget about the blood, sweat, and tears that were shed. We realize that we must never let the victims' memories fade away.

This year, 2,996 bloggers decided to honor the people who needlessly died at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the field in Pennsylvania. I now have the honor of remembering Vivian Casalduc , an American who died with dignity.

I never had the priviledge of meeting Vivian. Nevertheless, I know who she was and what she did with her life. From a biography published in the New York Times on November 21, 2001...

Vivian Casalduc lived to make her family's eyes light up. Each December, she would bake gingerbread for a giant candy land, where the ground was coated with thick piles of shredded coconut (snow) and the houses were studded with lollipops and licorice. "She would make it the first two days in December and let everybody look at it all month long, and on Christmas morning, she'd let everyone ransack it," said her daughter Angilic Casalduc.

Five small grandchildren spent alternate weekends in her care, and would come home with cotton candy in a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes. Turns out, Grandma had bought a cotton candy machine.

A Brooklyn native who grew up in housing projects, Ms. Casalduc, 45, married at 16, had three children and divorced. Her job as a microfiche clerk at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield moved two years ago from Brooklyn to the 28th floor of 1 World Trade Center. Her commute was longer, but the salsa concerts downstairs became a part of her lunchtime routine.

Ms. Casalduc left one prescient lesson, her daughter said: "Do everything the hard way." Why major in one subject when four would do, or take a taxi when public transportation was there? "Do it the easy way," Angilic Casalduc remembered, "and you'll never learn anything, and God forbid, anything happens, she worried we wouldn't know how to survive."

Are the levees any stronger? Has the Bush administration learned its lesson and become more competent? The answer to both is probably NO! The only positive I can derive from the Katrina disaster is the probability that many people will vote Democrat in two months. These GOP hacks have proven that they are out of touch with reality, only believing in religious mythology and ignoring the nation's real problems. September 11 looms, and I don't feel this administration has succeeded at making the country safer. It has been time for a change for years. American voters, make it happen!

All my fellow bloggers: I do apologize for not posting anything in the last few days. I've been incredibly busy lately, working overtime and representing the family business in court. The reason I've been going to court is because the City of Chicago is notoriously strict with building codes, health codes, and all other ordinances. As a result, routine inspections always lead to some kind of violation being found by the unrelenting inspectors. Therefore, I had to represent the business in two mandatory hearings last week. Don't get me wrong. We're not in trouble by any means. The hearings are fairly routine for business owners in Chicago. The process includes attending the hearing, pleading liable on all counts, and the administrative law officer (not a judge) imposes the minimum fine to which you would have already agreed upon. Lastly, a short walk down the hall leads you to the City Clerk's office, where the fine is paid. After the hearings, I proceeded to have lunch around downtown Chicago, where the Chicago Department of Revenue is located.

So what has happened in Lefty's life in recent weeks. As we all know, I caught me some gorgeous ass down in Mexico. I'm still recovering from the tequila, Jack Daniel's, and the unbelievably long sex session. Aside from this, I attended the Sounds of the Underground show. Gwar, Cannibal Corpse, In Flames, Black Dahlia Murder, Behemoth, and Trivium kicked fucking ass! I also saw Bill Maher on his comedy tour. That fucker had me laughing my balls off!

As for political stuff, I haven't been active lately. However, I've been paying attention to all the bullshit going on. The Israeli-Hezbollah conflict is utter bullshit. I can't believe Dubya has given Hezbollah all the blame for this situation. Israel is no saint either! I had the pleasure of taking Professor Norman Finkelstein's course on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict while working on my degree at DePaul University. Mr. Finkelstein, the son of two Holocaust survivors (his mother survived the Warsaw ghetto and Auschwitz-Birkenau), is an expert on Mideast politics. Surprisingly, he is very critical of Israel and the Zionist's role in destabilizing the region. I suggest you read some of his work, especially The Holocaust Industry and Beyond Chutzpah.

Iraq is making no serious progress, despite the claims from the Bush administration and the pro-war right. Let's face it, it's a fucking disaster! As long as Republicans refuse to consider the economic side of the War on Terror, we can continue to expect increasing bloodshed. Iraq needs a Marshall Plan-type policy to help stabilize the region. Poverty is known to help foster terrorism. How many affluent suicide bombers have we known about?

Stem Cells - I'm not going to say much about this. The wingnuts want to Christianize the entire country under a smokescreen of fiscal conservatism. BULLSHIT! Bush isn't so much concerned about not spending federal money on stem cell research than he is about putting the religious nuts in his pocket.

Election fraud in Mexico! Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador smells a rat, and it looks like it may be president-elect Felipe Calderon. This reminds me so much of Bush-Gore.

I plan to resume my blogging duties this week. I hope to have at least three entries per week, as time permits. Thanks to everyone who continues to read The Metal Pundit. You all kick ass and I will drink this cold and tasty Corona in your honor. Gulp gulp...ahhhh!

MSM still doesn't get it - even when it's spelled out for them

Robert Novak was recently cleared to publish his account of the Plamegate affair and his account was published yesterdaty on July 12th.

In his account he reveals/confirms some new information. First is that he found out about Wilsons wife from a still unnamed source and that he actually got Plames name from Joe Wilsons entry in Who's Who. Rove confirmed what Novak had found as did Bill Harlow of the CIA.

Since the piece was published Novak has appeared on Fox with Brit Hume and on Hannity and Colmes.

During these appearances the following came out:

The unnamed source disclosed the information inadvertantly and it came up during a discussion of the Niger yellowcake situation.

Novak, himself doesn't believe that the disclosure was a conscious decision.

Nobody in the administration was pushing the information to Novak, now did anyone in the administration say anytyhing critical of Wilson.

Novak's discussion of Valerie Plame with Rove lasted about 20 seconds and consisted of Novak saying he heard Wilson's wife worked at the CIA and played a role in Wilson getting the mission and Rove replying "Oh, you know that, too?"

With all of these revelations you'd think the press could zero in on the three things tha treally seemed to stand out in this story

1. Novak's original source is still unnamed.
2. Valerie Plame was named in Joe Wilson's entry in Who's Who
3. Rove did not inform Novak of the story and his confirmation was nothing extraordinary.

The MSM however doesn't see the need to reveal most of this.

Each of these "newspapers" makes no reference to Who's Who. A couple of them continue with the canard that Rove or the White House was the source, and all of them focus on the involvement of Rove and continue under the incorrect assumption that Plames identity was a secret.

With papers like these it's a wonder that all of America doesn't vote for the Democrats. Although, I guess that is their ultimate goal...

Back from My Short Vacation

I just got back from my 5-day vacation to Mexico with my father. This was somewhat of a short-notice journey, decided upon only weeks before departure. Nevertheless, I had a spectacular time hanging out with family and friends.

The primary reason my father and I decided to visit family in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, is because both my grandfather and one of my aunts are sick. My grandfather, although now doing much better, had his diabetes catch-up to him as his blood pressure and blood sugar levels soared. My aunt, unfortunately, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. On the bright side, a few second opinions have given her hope that cancer isn't actually present in her breasts. Nonetheless, she is receiving chemotherapy while further analysis is performed.

Since our arrival was met with good news, we proceeded to drink it up! We got ourselves several bottles of tequila, including Corralejo, Don Julio Anejo, Jimador, and Casadores. At night, I would join my cousins in late-night drinking. We went "clubbing" on two of the nights I was there. Let me say that the only good thing about the club scene are the girls. Other than that, the music sucks nuts and liquor is terribly expensive. I suppose dancing and feeling-up Mexican chicks is worth it.

During the day, my father and I would visit family from both his side and my mother's. You see, the entire family lives in Mexico, with the exception of my immediate family, a few cousins, an uncle, and an aunt in Chicago, one aunt in Dallas, and two uncles and family in Los Angeles. We ate great food and just kicked back sipping on Coronas and Victorias.

After three nights of striking out, I finally got laid on the fourth night. The lucky girl is very hot and knowledgeable in bed. She's a light-skinned, blue-eyed, blonde chick with an incredible ass and pretty face. I will honestly say she is out of my league in terms of physical traits. However, I've yet to meet a girl who enjoys talking on an intellectual level with me. Her best quality is the fact that she listens to punk and metal! As a result, we fornicated while playing Metallica's Black Album. Good times!

Since I took American Airlines, I had to stop at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport. I was there for a couple of hours as I waited for the flight to Leon. I looked out the window and wondered where my good friend, BigNewsDay, could be. I almost felt like missing the flight and contacting you dude. One of these days...

So that's a brief summary of the last week. I know I sound overly excited about my vaginal acquisition, but I haven't been getting much lately, so bear with me!

I normally delete these when I recieve them, but this one caught my attention so I thought I would share it.

The boss of a Madison Avenue advertising agency called a spontaneous staff meeting in the middle of a particularly stressful week. (This is one pretty sharp boss!)

When everyone gathered, the boss, who understood the benefits of having fun, told the burnt out staff the purpose of the meeting was to have a quick contest. The theme: Viagra advertising slogans. The only rule was they had to use past ad slogans, originally written for other products that captured the essence of Viagra. Slight variations were acceptable.

About seven minutes later, they turned in their suggestions and created a Top Ten List. With all the laughter and camaraderie, the rest of the week went very well for everyone...

Jefferson running out of wiggle room

It is being reported that Democratic Rep. William Jefferson has about run out of wiggle room in his attempts to declare himself (and other members of Congress) as being above the law.

An FBI raid on a Louisiana congressman's Capitol Hill office was legal, a federal judge ruled Monday.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan said members of Congress are not above the law. He rejected requests from lawmakers and Democratic Rep. William Jefferson to return material seized by the FBI in a May 20-21 search of Jefferson's office.

In a 28-page opinion, Hogan dismissed arguments that the first-ever raid on a congressman's office violated the Constitution's protections against intimidation of elected officials.

"Congress' capacity to function effectively is not threatened by permitting congressional offices to be searched pursuant to validly issued search warrants," said Hogan, who had approved the FBI's request to conduct the overnight search of Jefferson's office.

The president's 45-day "cooling off period" ended Sunday with no compromise worked out but with assurances from the Justice Department that it would not seek to regain custody of the materials until Hogan ruled on Jefferson's request.

Because Hogan signed the search warrant authorizing the search, Jefferson's legal team was not surprised by his ruling upholding it.

"While a congressman is not above the law, the executive branch must also follow the law," said Jefferson's lawyer, Robert Trout. "We appreciate the consideration the judge accorded our motion for the return of the seized property, but we respectfully disagree with his conclusion, and we intend to appeal the ruling."

Hogan said a search warrant seeking material is very different than a subpoena seeking testimony.

"Jefferson may never be questioned regarding his legitimate legislative activities, is immune from civil or criminal liability for those activities, and no privileged material may ever be used against him in court," the judge wrote.

Good for this judge for doing the right, legal thing. Now I just need to obtain a list of those legislators that supported Jefferson in this attempt and make sure that none of them are in my districts, and if so, to vote them out of office (even if they are Republicans).

It's been a couple of weeks now since the New York Times and LA Times released stories about tracking terror finances. According to each paper these programs were classified at the time the papers went to print.

What I want to do is get a feel for where you all stand on this?
